Finally, someone gets it, thanks for writing this. I find the framework learning curve to be painful with only minimal rewards, and often everything I learned is a heap of waste when the next employer / team insists on a different flavour of framework.

It is frustrating though the number of jobs these days requiring framework xyz or abc instead of just the pure coding language. I find libraries and other tools sufficient for most tasks, and frameworks often increase the development time with learning and eventual maintenance.

I wish more people would share the same perspective as this post.

PS: My current plight is learning Laravel.
