Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
I am on your side, Patrick. It isn't humour when the writer is so uninformed. If the main complaint with the Windows and Mac is the overemphasis on the GUI and the need for so much resources, Linux seems the right answer because you can run it as lean as it want to. And yet the writer has to rant against it - only because he doesnt know much about it and therefore thinks that those who know about it are 'elitist and nerdy'.
I am being sponsored by Syntress! They bought me an amazing dedicated server to run catonmat on. If you're looking web services, I highly recommend the Syntress guys!
