Good one.

Why dont you just use the ssh, vi, ftp and so on that comes with cygwin - you could reduce half your "program files"!

I highly recommend Irfanview for image viewing and vlc as media player.

I use pdf-xchange's viewer for pdfs. Adobe is bloated, foxit has rendering issues, sumatra just cant handle everything.
