Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

As another person who has taken the class, I never worked in a group during this class.
In fact, in my career at MIT I've only done 1 pset in a group. Groups can be good, but for most people I think they impede learning.
